The Liberian Communities of Florida, Inc. ( The “Community”) is organized exclusively as a nonprofit organization under Section 501 ( c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code for charitable and education purposes. The objective of the organization is to promote the aims and aspirations of the Liberian Communities of Florida. The headquarters of the Community is located in Tampa, Florida.
The Liberian Communities of Florida, Inc. consists of the following Communities:

The Liberian Association of Northeast Florida (Jacksonville Community)

The Tampa Bay Area Liberian Community Association (Tampa Bay Community)

The organizational structure of the Community includes the member associations, elected officers of the Community, delegates appointed or elected to represent each local community association, elected officers of each member association and chairpersons of standing committees. Community meetings are held quarterly on a rotational basis and hosted by a local community association. A simple majority of delegates including three elected officers and at least two member communities constitute a quorum for any duly called general meeting.

Officers of the Community are elected for a two year term and can serve no more than two consecutive terms.
As a Community, we pledge to bring together all Liberians residing in the State of Florida and provide a home away from home. We seek to provide moral and financial support to our membership in case of extreme circumstances. We also seek to assist our youth become productive and law abiding citizens in their respective communities. Each local community has the responsibility of establishing programs and functions aimed at promoting unity and respect among its members. Working together as a people, we can lift each other in times of need.
All monies collected or raised on behalf of the Community shall be used for community projects as agreed upon at a general or called meeting. Any changes to designated projects must be presented and approved by the general body.
